LA BASIA is a small farm located on the morainic glacial hills of the south-eastern shore of Garda Lake (Valtènesi), approx. 40 km from Brescia (Lombardia). Vine growing and high-quality wine production have been its core activities since 1975. Recently a farm-holiday business has been added, horse stabling and livery are available. The farm is run by the owner Elena Parona with the help of her family, while three assistants take care of farming and equestrian activities.

The process of increasing production and the constant care given to improve the quality of its wines, has led La Basia, although small, to win awards in many competitions, and be recognised in important Italian and international guides and reviews.

The philosophy of La Basia's activities can be summarized in two concepts: quality and a respect for the environment. The wines of La Basia originate from ongoing research aimed at enhancing local heritage in order to offer a very characteristic and unique product.
This special regard for the preservation of natural heritage and integrity of the landscape motivates La Basia’s use of cultivation and processing techniques that have minimal impact on the environment.
